Domaine d'Aussieres, nestled in the rugged hills of the Languedoc near Narbonne, is an estate steeped in history, with winemaking roots tracing back to the Roman Empire when it served as an abbey farm. Acquired in 1999 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), the estate underwent a massive renaissance. The Aussieres Rouge is a vibrant expression of this revitalized terroir, typically blending classic Mediterranean varieties like Syrah with Bordeaux stalwarts like Cabernet Sauvignon. This combination marries the rich, spicy warmth of the Languedoc with the structured elegance championed by the Rothschild family. Fermented in stainless steel to preserve its bright, sun-drenched fruit character, the wine offers a harmonious balance of wild berries, garrigue herbs, and soft, approachable tannins.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. blev grundlagt af Baron Philippe de Rothschild og har hjemsted i Pauillac i Bordeaux – en af verdens mest berømte vinregioner. Huset regnes i dag blandt klodens ypperste familieejede vinvirksomheder. Fundamentet hviler på en visionær og nyskabende tilgang, som revolutionerede moderne vindyrkning og aftapning på selve slottet (mis en bouteille au château).
