Baron Philippe de Rothschild's venture into Chile's Central Valley beautifully bridges Bordeaux tradition with South American terroir. This is epitomized by their Carmenere Reserva, a grape that was once a staple in Bordeaux before the phylloxera epidemic and was famously rediscovered in Chile in 1994 after being mistaken for Merlot for decades.
