The Baron Philippe de Rothschild Chardonnay Reserva represents a harmonious bridge between traditional French winemaking expertise and the vibrant, sun-drenched terroirs of Chile's Central Valley. Established in Chile in the late 1990s, the legendary Bordeaux family sought to express the pure varietal character of classic grapes in this South American paradise. This Chardonnay is sourced from selected vineyards where the cooling breezes of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic Andes Mountains temper the valley heat, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and retain their natural acidity. The wine is crafted using meticulous temperature-controlled fermentation, with a portion of the blend undergoing aging in oak barrels to impart a subtle creaminess, structure, and delicate notes of vanilla to the vibrant tropical and citrus fruit profile. It stands as a testament to the family's global vision of quality and elegance.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA blev grundlagt i 1933 af den visionære Baron Philippe de Rothschild og er i dag et internationalt anerkendt vinhus med dybe rødder i Pauillac i Bordeaux. Ud over at stå i spidsen for det legendariske Premier Grand Cru Classé-slot Château Mouton Rothschild fremstiller huset skelsættende négociant- og ejendomsvine, som spænder fra Bordeaux og Languedoc til Maipo- og Casablanca-dalene i Chile. Tilgangen i vinmarkerne forener høje krav til bæredygtighed – herunder certificeringen Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) og en skånsom udvælgelse af parceller – med et kompromisløst fokus på druernes renhed og sortspræg. På tværs af Médocs maritime grusjorde, Languedocs kalkholdige lerjord og Chiles alluviale aflejringer, der køles af Stillehavet, skaber husets vinmagere friske, aromatiske og strukturerede hvidvine. Blandt de mest fremtrædende aftapninger finder man klassiske Bordeaux-blends som Sélection Agneau Blanc og Berger Baron Blanc, endruevine fra Languedoc på Viognier og Sauvignon Blanc samt chilenske fortolkninger som Escudo Rojo Chardonnay Reserva og Las Huertas Chardonnay.
