✨ Technical Specifications

Escudo Rojo is the direct Spanish translation of 'Rote Schild'—the historic red shield emblem of the Rothschild family, symbolizing their deep-rooted winemaking heritage. Established in Chile's Central Valley in the late 1990s, Baron Philippe de Rothschild sought to marry traditional Bordeaux expertise with the exceptional, sun-drenched terroir of Chile. This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the Central Valley, where warm days and cool night breezes from the Andes allow the grapes to achieve optimal ripeness while preserving vibrant acidity. The wine undergoes traditional vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before a portion is aged in oak barrels, resulting in a structured, elegant red that showcases intense black fruit, subtle spice, and refined tannins.
