✨ wine.spec_sheet

Escudo Rojo, translating directly to the Spanish for 'Red Shield' (Rote Schild)—the historic coat of arms of the Rothschild family—represents Baron Philippe de Rothschild's ambitious venture into Chilean winemaking, initiated in 1999. This Pinot Noir Reserva is sourced from cooler microclimates within Chile, particularly the Casablanca Valley, where maritime breezes from the Pacific Ocean temper the South American sun. This unique terroir allows the delicate Pinot Noir grape to ripen slowly, preserving its vibrant acidity and elegant red fruit aromas. Combining traditional French winemaking expertise with Chile's pristine growing conditions, the wine is partially aged in French oak barrels to add subtle spice and structure while maintaining its bright, fruit-forward character.
