The Mapu Gran Reserva Carignan highlights the remarkable resurgence of old-vine Carignan in the dry-farmed areas of Chile's Central Valley, particularly the Maule region. These resilient, deep-rooted vines produce low yields of highly concentrated fruit. Crafted using traditional French winemaking expertise adapted to South American soils, the wine undergoes careful oak aging to temper Carignan's naturally high acidity and robust tannins, resulting in a deeply colored, expressive red boasting wild berry aromas, rustic earthiness, and refined spice.
