Baron Philippe de Rothschild's venture into Chile represents a harmonious marriage of traditional French winemaking expertise and the pristine terroirs of the New World. The 'Mapu' range pays direct homage to Chile's indigenous heritage, taking its name from the Mapudungun word for 'earth' or 'land'. Sourced from select vineyards across the Central Valley, where the cooling influences of the Pacific Ocean and the majestic Andes Mountains create dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, this Sauvignon Blanc is crafted to showcase vibrant, pure fruit expression. To preserve its signature crispness, intense citrus aromas, and bright tropical notes, the wine is fermented and aged exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, avoiding any oak contact to deliver a clean, refreshing, and highly accessible expression of Chilean terroir.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. blev grundlagt af Baron Philippe de Rothschild og har hjemsted i Pauillac i Bordeaux – en af verdens mest berømte vinregioner. Huset regnes i dag blandt klodens ypperste familieejede vinvirksomheder.
