Hailing from the historic Alta Vista Vineyard, perched high in the volcanic soils of the Moon Mountain District in Sonoma, this wine is crafted from some of the oldest Gewurztraminer vines in California, originally planted in the 1940s. Bedrock Wine Co. pays homage to this heritage by preserving the site's unique old-vine character. The high-elevation mountain terroir provides cool breezes that preserve natural acidity, balancing the grape's naturally opulent character. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW utilizes minimal-intervention techniques, fermenting the wine dry to highlight its complex, exotic aromatics of lychee, white peach, rose petals, and cracked ginger, supported by a distinct mineral backbone and phenolic texture derived from the ancient vines.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW, Bedrock Wine Co. is rooted in Sonoma, California, with a devoted mission to rehabilitate and preserve the state's historic old-vine vineyards. Operating out of the storied Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma Valley—first planted in the mid-19th century—Twain-Peterson and partner Chris Cottrell champion California's viticultural heritage through minimalist, terroir-focused winemaking.
