The Brosseau Vineyard Chardonnay from Bedrock Wine Co. is a stunning expression of one of California's most unique and extreme terroirs. Located in the remote Chalone AVA of Monterey County, the Brosseau Vineyard sits at a high elevation on the volcanic east side of the Salinas Valley. What makes this site legendary is its soil: a rare combination of decomposed granite and limestone, a geological signature highly coveted for Chardonnay. Planted in 1980 by Jon and Jan Brosseau, the vineyard is buffeted by cold winds and intense high-altitude sunlight, yielding grapes with concentrated flavors and a fierce, natural acidity. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW coaxes out this dramatic terroir using native yeast fermentation and aging in French oak barrels, with a minimal-intervention approach that prioritizes the vineyard's signature saline minerality, structural tension, and rich, textured stone fruit character over heavy oak influence.

Bedrock Wine Co. blev grundlagt i Sonoma, Californien, i 2007 af vinmageren Morgan Twain-Peterson MW med en dedikeret mission om at genoprette og bevare statens historiske vinmarker med gamle vinstokke.
