The Compagni Portis Heirloom White is a liquid monument to California's viticultural past, sourced from a historic vineyard planted in 1954 in the cooler, southern reaches of the Sonoma Valley. This field-blended white wine is a rare survivor of an era before single-varietal dominance, featuring an field blend of Gew)rztraminer, Riesling, Trousseau Gris, and other heritage white varieties. Dry-farmed and organically grown, these ancient, self-regulating vines yield fruit of incredible aromatic intensity and structural depth. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW co-ferments these varieties using native yeasts in a combination of neutral oak barrels and stainless steel, ensuring the exotic, floral, and spicy character of the Gew)rztraminer and the laser-like acidity of the Riesling are perfectly preserved. The resulting wine is textured, intensely aromatic, and complex, offering a sensory window into mid-century Sonoma winemaking.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW, Bedrock Wine Co. is rooted in Sonoma, California, with a devoted mission to rehabilitate and preserve the state's historic old-vine vineyards.
