Sourced from the cool, windswept clay soils of the legendary Hudson Vineyard in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, Bedrock's 'Plein de Chêne' Syrah is a masterclass in power and structural harmony. The name, translating to 'full of oak,' pays homage to the traditional, bold Northern Rhône style of aging Syrah in 100% new French oak barrels—specifically thick-staved demi-muids. While such a treatment would overwhelm lesser fruit, the intense, deeply concentrated Syrah from Lee Hudson's iconic property possesses the sheer density, high natural acidity, and savory depth to beautifully integrate the wood. The result is a majestic, complex red wine defined by signature cool-climate Syrah characteristics of cracked black pepper, cured meats, black olive tapenade, and dark forest fruits, framed by luxurious, velvety tannins.
