Bedrock Wine Co.’s Kick Ranch Syrah is a masterful expression of cool-climate, Northern Rhône-style Syrah grown in the rugged soils of Sonoma County. Situated on the western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains in the Fountaingrove District, the Kick Ranch Vineyard is defined by its gravelly, volcanic soils and the cooling marine winds sweeping through the Petaluma Gap. This unique microclimate allows the Syrah grapes to ripen slowly, developing deep complexity while retaining vibrant acidity. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW employs traditional, low-intervention techniques, often utilizing whole-cluster fermentation and aging in neutral French oak puncheons to emphasize the vineyard's signature profile. The resulting wine is renowned for its striking aromatic profile of cracked black pepper, smoked meats, dark plum, and wild lavender, grounded by a distinct stony minerality that reflects its mountain-slope origin.

Bedrock Wine Co. blev grundlagt i Sonoma, Californien, i 2007 af vinmageren Morgan Twain-Peterson MW med en dedikeret mission om at genoprette og bevare statens historiske vinmarker med gamle vinstokke. Med udgangspunkt i den legendariske Bedrock Vineyard i Sonoma Valley – som oprindeligt blev tilplantet i midten af det 19. århundrede – hylder Twain-Peterson og hans partner Chris Cottrell Californiens vinarv gennem en minimalistisk og terroir-drevet vinifikation. Vingården skaber vitale og stedtypiske vine på klassiske, historiske field blends såvel som traditionelle druesorter som Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon og Chardonnay.
