Perched high in the Mayacamas Mountains within the Moon Mountain District of Sonoma Valley, the historic Monte Rosso Vineyard is one of California's most legendary viticultural treasures. First planted in the 1880s by Emmanuel Goldstein, the vineyard is famous for its striking, iron-rich red volcanic soils and high elevation. Bedrock Wine Co. crafts this exceptional Zinfandel from some of the oldest head-trained vines on the property. The high altitude and cool mountain breezes preserve remarkable natural acidity, balancing the intense, concentrated flavors of wild blackberry, dark cherry, and cracked black pepper. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in primarily used French oak, this wine beautifully showcases the signature mineral drive, structural power, and rustic elegance characteristic of this historic site.
