Bedrock Wine Co.'s Old Vine Zinfandel is a masterful tribute to California's rich viticultural history, crafted from a mosaic of historic, old-vine vineyards spread across the state, including Sonoma, Lodi, and Contra Costa. The average age of the vines contributing to this bottling often exceeds 80 years, with some dating back to the late 19th century. True to the traditional California field-blend heritage, the wine is predominantly Zinfandel but is co-fermented with a supporting cast of heritage varieties such as Carignan, Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, and Grand Noir. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW employs minimalist intervention, utilizing native yeast fermentations and aging the wine in a mix of French oak barrels (with a very low percentage of new oak) to preserve the bright, spicy, and deeply concentrated character of these ancient vines.

Bedrock Wine Co. blev grundlagt i Sonoma, Californien, i 2007 af vinmageren Morgan Twain-Peterson MW med en dedikeret mission om at genoprette og bevare statens historiske vinmarker med gamle vinstokke.
