Situated in Kenwood, this historic site features gravelly clay loam soils and a unique microclimate that experiences dramatic diurnal temperature swings. Bedrock Wine Co.'s Pagani Ranch Heritage is a traditional field blend that pays homage to California's early viticultural history. The blend is typically dominated by ancient-vine Zinfandel, but it is uniquely defined by a significant portion of Alicante Bouschet—a rare teinturier grape with red flesh that contributes deep color and structural intensity—alongside Petite Sirah and other minor heritage varieties. Crafted with minimal intervention and aged in French oak, the wine is celebrated for its striking balance of dark, voluptuous fruit, exotic spice notes, and a vibrant, refreshing acidity characteristic of the site.

Founded in 2007 by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW, Bedrock Wine Co. is rooted in Sonoma, California, with a devoted mission to rehabilitate and preserve the state's historic old-vine vineyards.
