Planted in 1934 by Celestino Papera just after the repeal of Prohibition, Papera Ranch is a historic gem nestled in the cool, fog-influenced Laguna de Santa Rosa region of the Russian River Valley. Bedrock Wine Co. honors this heritage site by crafting a wine that is predominantly Zinfandel but co-fermented with its original field-blend companions, including Carignan, Petite Sirah, and Syrah. The vineyard's clay-loam soils and chilly maritime breezes slow down ripening, preserving a striking natural acidity that defines the wine's character. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in primarily used French oak, this bottling showcases a brilliant tension between rich dark berry fruit, savory cracked black pepper, and a vibrant, structured finish that reflects its unique cool-climate terroir.

Bedrock Wine Co. blev grundlagt i Sonoma, Californien, i 2007 af vinmageren Morgan Twain-Peterson MW med en dedikeret mission om at genoprette og bevare statens historiske vinmarker med gamle vinstokke.
