✨ wine.spec_sheet

Hailing from the wind-swept, deep Delhi blow-sands of Oakley in Contra Costa County, the Pato Vineyard is a historic treasure planted in the early 20th century. Because phylloxera cannot thrive in these pure, sandy soils, these ancient vines remain own-rooted, standing as living monuments to California's viticultural past. Bedrock Wine Co. crafts this Heritage red as a traditional field blend, dominated by Zinfandel and Mataro (Mourvèdre), alongside smaller portions of Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet. The unique sandy terroir imparts a remarkably elegant and perfumed character to the wine, yielding bright red and dark berry fruit notes, exotic spices, and a signature fine-grained, dusty tannin structure. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak, it beautifully balances rustic heritage with refined complexity.
