The 'Clos de la Tour de Curon' is one of the Jura's most legendary white wines, sourced from a tiny, historic parcel overlooking Arbois. Replanted by Stéphane Tissot in 2002 on a steep, south-facing slope of Bajocian limestone scree, this vineyard is planted at an ultra-high density of up to 20,000 vines per hectare. This extreme density forces the vines to dig deep into the bedrock for nutrients, yielding tiny, highly concentrated berries. Vinified as a topped-up (ouillé) Chardonnay, it is fermented and aged in oak barrels. The resulting wine is a masterpiece of tension, combining a signature flinty reduction with profound mineral depth, power, and crystalline acidity that rivals the grandest crus of Burgundy.
