✨ Technical Specifications

Hailing from Montigny-les-Arsures, widely considered the spiritual home of the Trousseau grape, Stéphane and Bénédicte Tissot's 'Singulier' is a profound tribute to Jura's red winemaking heritage. This cuvée is crafted from old vines grown on the region's classic triassic red marls and gravelly clay soils. The name 'Singulier' reflects both the unique, rustic character of the ancient Trousseau variety and the distinctive blend of parcels used to create it. Stéphane employs traditional, low-intervention winemaking, utilizing indigenous yeasts, a lengthy maceration of up to a month, and aging in neutral oak foudres and barrels. Unfiltered and bottled with minimal sulfur, this wine captures the wild, forest-floor, and dark-berry essence of the Jura, balancing rustic tannins with a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity.

🍾 About the Producer

Established in 1962 by André and Mireille Tissot and taken over by their son Stéphane alongside his wife Bénédicte in 1990, Domaine Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot is an iconic benchmark of the Jura region, located in the village of Montigny-lès-Arsures near Arbois, France. A relentless pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture, Stéphane transitioned the estate to biodynamics in the early 2000s, championing minimal-intervention cellar techniques and native yeast fermentations to reveal hyper-specific terroirs. The domaine produces an extraordinary array of wines spanning profound single-vineyard Chardonnays from sites like Clos de la Tour de Curon and La Mailloche, energetic Savagnins, traditional sous-voile Vin Jaune, vibrant reds from indigenous Trousseau and Poulsard, and exceptional Crémant du Jura such as Indigène. Celebrated for their mineral intensity, purity, and vibrant tension, the estate's artisanal bottlings have rightfully elevated the global reputation of Jura winemaking.
