Beringer, founded in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, stands as Napa Valley's oldest continuously operating winery, steeped in rich pioneering history. The 'Luminus' Chardonnay, whose name translates to 'light' in Latin, is a modern expression of this legacy, crafted to showcase a brighter, more elegant side of Napa Valley Chardonnay. Sourced primarily from the Big Ranch Vineyard in the cool-climate Oak Knoll District AVA, the grapes benefit from the morning fog and maritime breezes rolling off San Pablo Bay. This unique terroir allows for a long, slow ripening period that preserves a vibrant, mineral-driven acidity. In the cellar, the wine undergoes barrel fermentation and aging in French oak with regular lees stirring (bâtonnage), striking a masterful balance between rich, creamy texture and crisp, luminous citrus and stone fruit flavors.

Beringer Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1876 af brødrene Jacob og Frederick Beringer og er i dag Californiens ældste kontinuerligt fungerende vinhus, beliggende i hjertet af St. Helena i Napa Valley.
