Crafted by the historic Beringer Vineyards, one of Napa Valley's oldest continuously operating wineries established in 1876, the Quarry Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to hillside viticulture. Located on the steep, eastern slopes of the Rutherford AVA along the Vaca Range, the vineyard gets its name from the rocky, gravelly soils of an old quarry site. This challenging, well-drained volcanic terroir forces the vines to struggle, producing small, concentrated berries. The resulting wine is a classic, powerful Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, typically aged in French oak barrels, showcasing rich dark fruit, structured tannins, and the distinctive gravelly minerality often referred to as Rutherford dust.
