The name itself pays homage to the iconic, hand-hewn stone cellars built into the hillsides of St. Helena, which provided the ideal cool temperatures for aging early California vintages. Sourced from vineyards across California's sun-drenched valleys, this Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted to be an approachable, fruit-forward expression of the varietal. It is typically fermented in stainless steel and aged with a gentle touch of oak to preserve its vibrant fruit character, resulting in a smooth wine defined by notes of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, and a hint of sweet baking spice.

Beringer Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1876 af brødrene Jacob og Frederick Beringer og er i dag Californiens ældste kontinuerligt fungerende vinhus, beliggende i hjertet af St. Helena i Napa Valley. Som pionerer inden for tidlig vinproduktion i Napa udhuggede Beringer-brødrene kalkstensgrotter med håndkraft og etablerede kældre baseret på tyngdekraftsprincippet for at skabe raffinerede og lagringsværdige vine.
