Hailing from the historic border town of Schweigen-Rechtenbach, this Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) is a masterclass in cross-border terroir. The vineyards here literally straddle the boundary between Germany's Pfalz and France's Alsace, a legacy of centuries of shifting borders. The vines dig deep into the region's prized Kalkmergel (limestone marl) soils, which impart a distinct, vibrant minerality and structural tension to the wine.
