Weingut Bernhart's Sonnenberg 'KT' Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs (GG) is a masterclass in cool-climate Pinot Noir, born from the unique cross-border terroir of the Sonnenberg vineyard, which straddles the boundary between Germany's Pfalz region and Alsace in France. The 'KT' designation highlights the specific 'Kalk-Ton' (limestone-clay) soils of this parcel, which impart a profound mineral depth and structural elegance to the wine. Historically, this borderland has seen centuries of shifting political boundaries, yet the vines have quietly thrived, drawing complexity from the ancient limestone deposits. Hand-harvested and aged in premium French oak barriques, this GG showcases a seamless blend of dark berry fruit, savory forest floor, and refined, chalky tannins, embodying the pinnacle of Pfalz Spätburgunder craftsmanship.

Weingut Bernhart ligger i Schweigen-Rechtenbach ved Pfalz' sydligste spids klos op ad den franske grænse.
