Hailing from the historic borderlands of the southern Pfalz and Alsace, Weingut Bernhart’s Weissburgunder Extra Brut is a sparkling masterpiece crafted using the traditional method of bottle fermentation. The Weissburgunder grapes are grown in the limestone-rich Kalkmergel soils of Schweigen-Rechtenbach, where the cool climate and unique cross-border terroir impart a vibrant acidity and deep mineral complexity. This bone-dry sparkling wine undergoes extended lees aging, which softens the naturally crisp profile of Pinot Blanc with a delicate, creamy mousse and subtle brioche undertones. It stands as a testament to the Bernhart family's dedication to artisanal craftsmanship, capturing the tension and elegance of their historic vineyards in every bubble.

Weingut Bernhart ligger i Schweigen-Rechtenbach ved Pfalz' sydligste spids klos op ad den franske grænse. Det anerkendte familiedomæne er berømt for elegant at forene tyske og alsassiske vindyrkningstraditioner. Vingården ledes af Gerd Bernhart, som har været medlem af det prestigefyldte VDP siden 2004, og her skabes udtryksfulde, terroir-præcise vine fra historiske parceller, der strækker sig på tværs af landegrænsen, såsom Schweigener Sonnenberg.
