Hailing from the wind-swept, rocky slopes of the Dry Stack Vineyard in Sonoma County's cool Bennett Valley, this Sauvignon Blanc represents Russell Bevan's signature pursuit of power and texture. The vineyard's volcanic soils and unique microclimate, defined by cool marine fog entering through the Crane Canyon gap, allow the grapes to achieve optimal physiological ripeness while retaining a vibrant, electric acidity. Unlike typical light and simple expressions of the grape, Bevan crafts this wine with deliberate lees contact and barrel fermentation, resulting in an opulent, multi-layered white wine. It beautifully marries intense tropical fruit and bright citrus notes with a rich, creamy mouthfeel, showcasing the dramatic terroir of Bennett Valley.
