The Bevan Cellars 'EE' Proprietary Red is a tour de force blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, primarily sourced from the acclaimed Tench Vineyard in Oakville. Located on the iron-rich, red volcanic soils of the eastern Oakville bench—directly adjacent to Screaming Eagle—this unique terroir imparts a distinctive mineral energy and profound structural depth to the fruit. The 'EE' bottling is celebrated for its seamless marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon's muscular dark fruit with the exotic, floral, and savory complexity of Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Russell Bevan employs meticulous block selection and lavish aging in new French oak to craft a wine of monumental concentration, velvety texture, and vibrant aromatic lift, making it a benchmark representation of contemporary Napa Valley cult red blends.
