The Moaveni Vineyard is nestled in the cool, fog-swept Bennett Valley AVA of Sonoma County, where the marine breezes of the Petaluma Gap dictate a long, slow ripening season. This unique terroir allows Syrah to develop deep complexity, balancing intense dark fruit with savory, cool-climate characteristics. Winemaker Russell Bevan coaxes incredible concentration and textural luxury from these grapes, utilizing meticulous vineyard selection and gentle cellar practices. The resulting wine is a dramatic expression of California Syrah, marrying the producer's signature opulent, plush style with the vineyard's natural gifts of cracked black pepper, smoked meats, and dark brambly fruit.
