The Showket Vineyard, nestled on the iron-rich, volcanic red soils of the eastern Oakville hillsides right next to the famed Dalla Valle estate, is legendary in Napa Valley lore. Before the vineyard was acquired by Peter Michael, winemaker Russell Bevan crafted some of his most monumental, opulent wines from this prized site. The 'David's Cuvee' represents a barrel selection of the finest, most texturally luxurious Cabernet Sauvignon from these steep slopes. Characterized by intense sun exposure and superb drainage, the terroir coaxes out extraordinary concentration, ultra-plush tannins, and a signature mineral complexity. Bevan's signature style of late harvesting and meticulous French oak aging elevates this fruit into a powerful, multi-layered masterpiece that captures a golden era of Oakville winemaking.
