✨ Technical Specifications
Bodegas Santa Cruz de Alpera, established in 1947 in the high-altitude continental plains of Almansa, is renowned for its focus on dry-farmed, old-vine Garnacha Tintorera. The Albarroble Tinto showcases this rare red-fleshed variety, grown on limestone-rich soils under extreme diurnal temperature swings. The wine undergoes modern temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation to preserve its vibrant fruit characteristics, intense dark color, and natural freshness without heavy oak influence.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1947 by twenty-five visionary grape growers, Bodegas Santa Cruz de Alpera is situated in the high-altitude terroir of Alpera within the D.O. Almansa in southeastern Spain. Operating as a quality-driven cooperative, the winery manages extensive dry-farmed, old bush vines rooted in nutrient-poor limestone soils at elevations approaching 1,000 meters above sea level. The estate is internationally celebrated for championing the Garnacha Tintorera grape variety, producing deeply colored, intensely aromatic, and structured red wines shaped by a harsh continental climate with Mediterranean influences. Signature bottlings, notably the Albarroble range, capture the estate's dedication to preserving traditional viticulture while utilizing modern enological precision.
