✨ Technical Specifications

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond's cinematic debut, Champagne Bollinger released the highly collectible '002 for 007' limited edition in 2012. The presentation is legendary: a sleek collector's case styled after the silencer of Bond's iconic Walther PPK, which opens via a combination lock (007) to reveal a bottle of Bollinger's exceptional La Grande Année 2002. The relationship between Bollinger and Bond is one of cinema's most enduring partnerships, initiated on screen in 1973's Live and Let Die following a warm personal friendship and handshake agreement between Christian Bizot of Bollinger and producer Cubby Broccoli. The wine inside represents the pinnacle of Bollinger's craftsmanship from the stellar 2002 vintage. Sourced entirely from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, it was fermented in seasoned oak casks and aged under natural cork for nearly a decade, yielding a Champagne of immense power, structure, and creamy complexity.

🍾 About the Producer

Established in 1829 in Aÿ by Hennequin de Villermont, Paul Renaudin, and Jacques Bollinger, Maison Bollinger endures as one of Champagne's preeminent independent, family-owned Grandes Marques. Its identity was indelibly forged under the visionary stewardship of Madame Lily Bollinger in the mid-twentieth century. The estate controls approximately 180 hectares of vineyards, dominated by Grand and Premier Cru parcels across the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, rooted in deep Belemnite chalk and limestone. Bollinger is celebrated for its Pinot Noir-centric architectural style, championing vinification in seasoned oak barrels, magnum reserve aging under natural cork, and extensive cellar maturation before disgorgement. The portfolio is epitomized by Special Cuvée and La Grande Année, reaching transcendental complexity in R.D. (Récemment Dégorgé) and the elusive Vieilles Vignes Françaises, produced from ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines trained en foule.
