Boschendal's Lanoy is a historic tribute to the French Huguenot heritage of the Cape, named in honor of Nicolas de Lanoy, one of the pioneering settlers who helped shape the viticultural landscape of the Franschhoek Valley. This classic red blend captures the essence of the Coastal Region's diverse terroir, where cooling maritime breezes from the Atlantic mitigate the warm summer sun, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavor profiles. Typically crafted as a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominant blend, the wine undergoes traditional fermentation followed by careful aging in oak barrels to seamlessly integrate structured, velvety tannins with rich dark fruit character. It represents an approachable yet sophisticated expression of South African blending mastery, combining Old World structure with New World fruit intensity.

Boschendal blev grundlagt i 1685 af huguenot-tilflytteren Jean le Long og siden videreudviklet af De Villiers-familien, hvilket gør ejendommen til en af Sydafrikas ældste vingårde. Vingården har rødder i Groot Drakenstein-dalen mellem Franschhoek og Stellenbosch, hvor vinmarkerne strækker sig over terrasser af granit, sandsten og alluviale aflejringer i læ af bjergkæderne Simonsberg og Drakenstein. De dramatiske topografiske forhold skaber et middelhavspræget makroklima med kølige bjergluftstrømme, tørre somre og rigelig vinternedbør, hvilket giver vinene en levende, naturlig syre. Dyrkningen hviler på et strengt miljøansvar i egenskab af WWF Conservation Champion og certificeret Integrated Production of Wine (IPW)-producent. Husets vinfremstilling sætter fokus på renhed, terroirets gennemslagskraft og en harmonisk tekstur, uanset om vinene modner på ståltanke eller franske egetræsfade. Boschendal er særligt berømmet for sine skelsættende Cap Classique-mousserende vine, herunder Jean Le Long Prestige Cuvée, samt fremragende hvidvine som 1685 Chenin Blanc, Appellation Series Chardonnay, det hvide blend Suzanne og den botrytiserede Vin D'Or Noble Late Harvest.
