Bouchard Père & Fils holds an unparalleled heritage in the Côte de Beaune, particularly within the Beaune Premier Cru appellation where they are the largest landowner. Their Premier Cru red wines, crafted from historic climats such as Clos de la Mousse and Les Teurons, represent the epitome of classic elegant Pinot Noir. These vineyards feature complex clay-limestone soils that impart both structure and minerality. In the cellar, the grapes undergo meticulous sorting, partial or total destemming, and fermentation in open-top fermenters before aging for 12 to 18 months in French oak barrels within the ancient, cool subterranean cellars of the Château de Beaune. This traditional process yields wines celebrated for their bright red fruit aromas, refined tannins, and a subtle earthy complexity that deepens with age.

Bouchard Père & Fils blev grundlagt i 1731 af Michel Bouchard og er et af Bourgognes ældste og mest agtede vinhuse, med base i det historiske Château de Beaune fra det 15. århundrede. Gennem næsten tre århundreders omhyggelige opkøb har vinhuset opbygget en enestående mosaik af vinmarker, som i dag dækker omkring 130 hektar i Côte d'Or, herunder en lang række prestigefyldte Grand Cru- og Premier Cru-parceller.
