Pommard Premier Cru 'Les Chanlins' is situated on the steep, iron-rich slopes bordering the appellation of Volnay. This unique geographical positioning grants the wine a fascinating dual personality: it marries the classic, muscular structure and deep earthy power of Pommard with the high-toned, floral elegance and silky texture characteristic of its Volnay neighbor. Crafted by the historic house of Bouchard Père & Fils, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo meticulous sorting before fermentation. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels within the subterranean cellars of the Château de Beaune. This terroir-driven Pinot Noir beautifully reflects the limestone-heavy soils of the climat, yielding a complex profile of dark cherries, forest floor, and refined, age-worthy tannins.
