✨ Technical Specifications

Steeped in royal history, the 'Vigne de l'Enfant Jésus' is a legendary 4-hectare monopole nestled within the Beaune Grèves Premier Cru. The vineyard's name originates from a 17th-century prophecy by Marguerite du Saint-Sacrement, a Carmelite nun who predicted the birth of King Louis XIV to the long-barren Anne of Austria. In gratitude, the Carmelites named this prized plot in honor of the Infant Jesus. Acquired by Bouchard Père & Fils in 1791, the vineyard features unique gravelly limestone soils ('grèves') that yield a Pinot Noir of exceptional finesse. Aged in French oak, this wine is celebrated for its velvety texture, intense red fruit aromatics, and exquisite spice notes, representing the pinnacle of Beaune elegance.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most revered wine houses, headquartered at the historic 15th-century Château de Beaune. Over nearly three centuries of meticulous acquisition, the estate assembled an extraordinary mosaic of vineyards spanning roughly 130 hectares across the Côte d'Or, notably including prestigious Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels. The house is dedicated to parcel-by-parcel vinification and careful oak aging within its subterranean fortress cellars, highlighting the subtle nuances of individual climats. World-renowned for its elegance, structure, and terroir transparency, Bouchard Père & Fils produces celebrated Pinot Noir benchmarks such as the iconic Beaune Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus alongside legendary Chardonnay masterworks from Corton-Charlemagne and Chevalier-Montrachet.
