Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 'La Cabotte' is one of Burgundy's most prestigious and historically fascinating white wines. Measuring a mere 0.21 hectares, this tiny parcel sits directly above the legendary Montrachet vineyard. Due to its exceptional terroir and geological alignment, this plot was actually classified as Montrachet Grand Cru in the 1984 decree, though it is bottled under the Chevalier-Montrachet appellation. The name 'La Cabotte' pays homage to the traditional stone shelter (cabotte) that still stands in the vineyard. Bouchard Père & Fils crafts this rare Chardonnay with meticulous care, aging it in French oak to achieve a monumental balance of intense limestone minerality, rich texture, and profound aromatic complexity.

Bouchard Père & Fils blev grundlagt i 1731 af Michel Bouchard og er et af Bourgognes ældste og mest agtede vinhuse, med base i det historiske Château de Beaune fra det 15. århundrede. Gennem næsten tre århundreders omhyggelige opkøb har vinhuset opbygget en enestående mosaik af vinmarker, som i dag dækker omkring 130 hektar i Côte d'Or, herunder en lang række prestigefyldte Grand Cru- og Premier Cru-parceller. Husets filosofi bygger på parcel-for-parcel-vinificering og en nænsom fadlagring i de underjordiske fæstningskældre, hvilket bringer de enkelte climats subtile nuancer frem i lyset. Bouchard Père & Fils er verdenskendt for sin elegance, struktur og rene terroirpræg. Huset skaber skelsættende Pinot Noir-vine som den ikoniske Beaune Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus samt legendariske Chardonnay-mesterværker fra Corton-Charlemagne og Chevalier-Montrachet.
