Hailing from Gisborne, affectionately known as the 'Chardonnay Capital of New Zealand' and the first wine region in the world to see the sunrise each day, Brancott Estate Reserve Chardonnay celebrates a rich regional heritage. Brancott Estate, a pioneer that helped put New Zealand wine on the global map, sources fruit from Gisborne's warm, sun-drenched coastal vineyards characterized by fertile clay and silt soils. This terroir coaxes luscious stone fruit, ripe peach, and melon characters from the grapes. To build complexity, the wine undergoes traditional barrel fermentation in French oak casks combined with partial malolactic fermentation and regular lees stirring. This meticulous process imparts a creamy, textured mouthfeel and subtle toasted brioche notes, beautifully balancing the vibrant tropical fruit profile that defines Gisborne's signature style.

Brancott Estate blev oprindeligt grundlagt som Montana Wines i 1934 af Ivan Yukich og sidenhen opkaldt efter vinhusets ikoniske hjemmemark.
