Brancott Estate holds a legendary place in viticultural history as the pioneer that planted the very first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough in 1973, forever changing the global wine landscape. First released in 1979, this wine defined the classic Marlborough style. Grown in the sun-drenched, stony alluvial soils of the Wairau Valley, the grapes benefit from cool nights and warm days that lock in vibrant acidity and intense aromatics. Cool-fermented in stainless steel to preserve its lively character, this iconic white wine bursts with pungent aromas of gooseberry, passionfruit, and fresh-cut grass, representing the benchmark expression of New Zealand's most famous wine region.

Brancott Estate blev oprindeligt grundlagt som Montana Wines i 1934 af Ivan Yukich og sidenhen opkaldt efter vinhusets ikoniske hjemmemark. Huset indtager en legendarisk position i vinhistorien som den pioner, der i 1973 plantede de allerførste vinstokke i Marlboroughs Brancott Valley. Dette modige pionerarbejde revolutionerede newzealandsk vinavl og førte i 1979 til lanceringen af landets første Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, som satte en helt ny global standard for druesorten.
