Brancott Estate holds a legendary place in New Zealand wine history, famously planting the first commercial vineyards in Marlborough in 1973. While celebrated for pioneering Sauvignon Blanc, their exploration of the Brancott Vineyard's unique hillside contours led to the discovery of the 'T Terraces'—a north-facing amphitheater of clay-rich soils. This specific terroir, distinct from the stony valley floor, provides the ideal foundation for premium Pinot Noir. The 'T Terraces' Pinot Noir is crafted from low-yielding vines, hand-harvested, and aged in select French oak barriques. It represents a sophisticated, structured expression of Marlborough Pinot Noir, characterized by dark cherry fruit, savory complexity, and fine-grained tannins that reflect the estate's pioneering heritage.

Brancott Estate blev oprindeligt grundlagt som Montana Wines i 1934 af Ivan Yukich og sidenhen opkaldt efter vinhusets ikoniske hjemmemark.
