The Stanleigh Park Vineyard Semillon is a benchmark single-vineyard expression from Brokenwood, sourced from a prized site in the Hunter Valley known for its free-draining sandy loam soils. Planted on the valley floor, this vineyard yields fruit of incredible purity and laser-like acidity. Brokenwood's winemaking philosophy for this wine is traditional and minimalist: early hand-harvesting to preserve natural acidity, gentle whole-bunch pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel with absolutely no oak contact. In its youth, the wine is incredibly vibrant, driven by citrus zest and mineral tension. Over time, it undergoes a magical transformation, developing the classic Hunter Semillon hallmarks of toasted brioche, beeswax, and lemongrass without ever losing its refreshing core.
