✨ Technical Specifications

Founded in 1868 in Ludes by Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne, Canard-Duchêne is situated in the Montagne de Reims. The house style relies heavily on Pinot Noir, supplemented by Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. For its non-vintage Rosé, traditional Champagne production is followed, using a blend of reserve wines with a small percentage of red wine added prior to secondary fermentation in the bottle. Aged on its lees to develop creaminess and structural balance, this cuvée yields bright red fruit flavors framed by vibrant chalky minerality.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1868 through the marriage of barrel maker Victor Canard and winemaker Léonie Duchêne, Champagne Canard-Duchêne is nestled in the hillside village of Ludes at the heart of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. The house distinguishes itself through deep historical roots, notably earning the right to display the Russian imperial coat of arms under Tsar Nicholas II. Guided by a philosophy that harmoniously blends nature, craftsmanship, and sustainability, Canard-Duchêne is celebrated for utilizing Pinot Noir as the backbone of its collection. Their wines, ranging from the classic Brut and nuanced Rosé to the prestigious Charles VII cuvées, are characterized by vibrant fruit intensity, refined elegance, and remarkable freshness.
