Hailing from the sun-drenched, volcanic slopes of Sicily, Cantine Nicosia's Falde Bianco is a vibrant tribute to the island's rich viticultural heritage. The name Falde refers to the undulating skirts or slopes of Mount Etna, where the dramatic interplay of black volcanic earth, high-altitude sunshine, and cooling Mediterranean breezes shapes the character of the vines. This wine is crafted from indigenous Sicilian white grape varieties, primarily Catarratto and Carricante. Traditionally grown on the lower slopes, these grapes benefit from mineral-rich soils, yielding a wine that captures the bright, saline essence of the Sicilian coast. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its lively fruit character, Falde Bianco is a testament to the Nicosia family's dedication to showcasing the fresh, approachable side of Sicilian winemaking.

Cantine Nicosia er en historisk siciliansk vingård, grundlagt i 1898 af Francesco Nicosia og beliggende på Etnas østlige skråninger i Trecastagni. Gennem fem generationer i familiens eje har vinhuset etableret sig som en passioneret ambassadør for Siciliens vulkanske terroir og oprindelige druesorter – altid med fokus på certificeret økologisk vindyrkning og moderne, bæredygtig vinfremstilling. Ejendommen er særligt anerkendt for sine udtryksfulde cru-vine fra Monte Gorna samt den sofistikerede Sosta Tre Santi-kollektion, der forener terroirprægede røde og hvide Etna DOC-vine med fremragende Metodo Classico-mousserende vine skabt på Carricante og Nerello Mascalese.
