Cantine Nicosia’s Fondo Filara Bio Frappato is a vibrant celebration of one of Sicily’s most beloved indigenous red grape varieties. Grown under the warm Sicilian sun in vineyards managed with strict organic and vegan-friendly practices, this wine captures the joyful, aromatic essence of Frappato. Historically associated with the southeastern corner of the island, Frappato is celebrated for its pale ruby color and remarkably fragrant profile, reminiscent of fresh red berries and wild flowers. Nicosia’s 'Fondo Filara' line emphasizes environmental stewardship, ensuring that the natural vitality of the soil and the pure, unadulterated character of the grape shine through without the use of animal-derived fining agents. The result is a wonderfully fresh, light-bodied red that challenges the stereotype of heavy southern Italian wines, offering instead a breezy, elegant, and highly drinkable expression of Sicilian terroir.
