Hailing from the sun-drenched hills of Sicily, Cantine Nicosia's Fondo Filara Bio Grillo is a vibrant testament to the island's organic viticultural renaissance. Grillo, a grape historically revered as the backbone of Marsala, takes center stage here as a dry, expressive, and deeply aromatic still white wine. Cultivated under strict organic farming practices, the vines thrive in soils rich in minerals, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean breeze. The name 'Fondo Filara' pays homage to the traditional rows of the historic family estates. Through gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, Nicosia preserves the grape's natural vivacity, resulting in a wine that balances bright citrus notes with a distinct, savory marine salinity.

Founded in 1898 by Francesco Nicosia, Cantine Nicosia is a historic family-owned winery located in Trecastagni on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. Today, under the stewardship of Carmelo Nicosia and his sons, the estate champions sustainable and organic viticulture across its high-altitude volcanic vineyards, particularly on the ancient Monte Gorna crater. The winery is highly renowned for its expressive Etna DOC wines crafted from indigenous varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, as well as its elegant Sosta Tre Santi Metodo Classico sparkling wines.
