Crafted by the historic Cantine Nicosia, 'Gari' is a vibrant sparkling wine that celebrates Grillo, one of Sicily's most iconic indigenous white grape varieties. While Grillo is historically famous for its role in the fortified wines of Marsala, Nicosia reimagines it here in a contemporary, fully sparkling Brut style using the Charmat (Martinotti) method. This natural fermentation in pressurized tanks preserves the grape's intense primary aromas and crisp acidity. Grown in sun-drenched Sicilian vineyards, the grapes benefit from a climate that balances warm Mediterranean breezes with cooling night temperatures, resulting in a sparkling wine defined by bright citrus, white flowers, and a distinct saline minerality that speaks of its island terroir.

Founded in 1898 by Francesco Nicosia, Cantine Nicosia is a historic family-owned winery located in Trecastagni on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. Today, under the stewardship of Carmelo Nicosia and his sons, the estate champions sustainable and organic viticulture across its high-altitude volcanic vineyards, particularly on the ancient Monte Gorna crater. The winery is highly renowned for its expressive Etna DOC wines crafted from indigenous varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, as well as its elegant Sosta Tre Santi Metodo Classico sparkling wines.
