Paying homage to the year the Nicosia family began their winemaking journey, the Generazione Mille898 Insolia represents a modern celebration of Sicily's rich viticultural heritage. Sourced from sun-drenched vineyards where cooling sea breezes temper the Mediterranean heat, this wine is crafted entirely from Insolia, also known historically as Ansonica, which is one of the island's most ancient indigenous white grape varieties. To preserve its delicate floral aromas and bright orchard fruit profile, the grapes undergo gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by brief maturation on the fine lees. The result is a beautifully balanced, refreshing white wine that captures the coastal essence of Sicily.

Founded in 1898 by Francesco Nicosia, Cantine Nicosia is a historic family-owned winery located in Trecastagni on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy. Today, under the stewardship of Carmelo Nicosia and his sons, the estate champions sustainable and organic viticulture across its high-altitude volcanic vineyards, particularly on the ancient Monte Gorna crater. The winery is highly renowned for its expressive Etna DOC wines crafted from indigenous varieties like Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, as well as its elegant Sosta Tre Santi Metodo Classico sparkling wines.
