The Generazione Mille898 line by Cantine Nicosia celebrates the historic founding year of 1898, honoring over a century of family winemaking on the volcanic soils of Sicily. This Nerello Mascalese is crafted to express the elegant, vibrant side of Sicily's noble red grape. Sourced from selected vineyards where the vines thrive in mineral-rich soils, the wine undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve its bright primary fruit aromas. It offers a beautiful expression of the island's unique terroir, balancing wild red berry notes with hints of Mediterranean herbs, floral nuances, and a characteristic volcanic minerality that reflects the ancient heritage of Sicilian viticulture.

Cantine Nicosia er en historisk siciliansk vingård, grundlagt i 1898 af Francesco Nicosia og beliggende på Etnas østlige skråninger i Trecastagni. Gennem fem generationer i familiens eje har vinhuset etableret sig som en passioneret ambassadør for Siciliens vulkanske terroir og oprindelige druesorter – altid med fokus på certificeret økologisk vindyrkning og moderne, bæredygtig vinfremstilling.
