Hailing from the steep, volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, the Monte Gorna Organic Rosso is a profound expression of Sicily's unique mountain viticulture. Grown on the ancient, extinct volcanic crater of Monte Gorna at an altitude of around 700 meters, the vines thrive in fertile, mineral-rich black sands. This extreme terroir, coupled with dramatic diurnal temperature swings, imparts a distinct volcanic minerality and vibrant acidity to the wine. Crafted from certified organic grapes, the wine undergoes traditional red vinification followed by careful aging in oak casks and stainless steel, capturing the wild, untamed spirit of the volcano. Folklore often speaks of Etna as a living, breathing giant, and this wine beautifully mirrors that restless energy with its complex, evolving character.
