Sosta Tre Santi, meaning 'The Stop of the Three Saints,' pays homage to the local patron saints Alfio, Filadelfo, and Cirino, who according to legend rested in the historic town of Trecastagni on the slopes of Mount Etna during their journey. Crafted on the high-altitude volcanic terraces of the ancient Monte Gorna crater, this Metodo Classico sparkling wine is a brilliant expression of the indigenous Carricante grape. The vines thrive in mineral-rich black volcanic sands, absorbing the unique character of Etna's terroir. Following a meticulous hand-harvest, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle and is aged on its lees for at least 20 to 24 months. This traditional method coaxes out complex autolytic notes of toasted brioche and wild Mediterranean herbs, beautifully balanced by the vibrant, saline acidity characteristic of Etna's high-elevation white wines.
