Hailing from the historic Angostura estate at the gates of the Colchagua Valley, Casa Silva's Gran Terroir Chardonnay is a beautiful expression of Chile's viticultural heritage. The Angostura vineyard represents the very heart of the Silva family's winemaking legacy, where vines benefit from the dramatic diurnal temperature shifts created by the proximity of the Andes Mountains and the Tinguiririca River. This unique microclimate allows the Chardonnay grapes to ripen slowly, retaining vibrant natural acidity while developing rich, concentrated flavors. In the cellar, the wine is crafted using a combination of stainless steel fermentation to preserve fresh citrus and stone fruit characters, and partial aging in French oak barrels to introduce subtle notes of vanilla, toasted brioche, and a creamy texture.
